I've just moved my stuff out of storage into a new apartment for the first time since the pandemic. Been homeless for 5 years. I knew my stuff has been sitting in storage for a while, but I definitely wasn't expecting half of it to literally be gone.

Rats. I wish I could say it was just a little bit of damage but literally half of my stuff is infested.

I feel a little silly because I should've known this could've happened, but definitely wasn't expecting it. But I'm also kinda relieved haha. I don't have to deal with all the clutter anymore.

Just had to throw away literally half of my stuff for the first time. It's definitely a bummer, but life goes on. Just a little bit of a reality check definitely goes a long way.

How has anyone else handled this sort of situation?
