I've only ever had a part time job. I’m currently in school, graduating in two years, but I've never had a full time job before. How will I be able to land a good career with no professional experience?

I’ve had small side hustles like babysitting, pet sitting, tutoring, a remote research internship, and I’ve worked at a retail store for the last three years, but sometimes I get really concerned about the fact that I’ve never had a full time job. I don’t have a lot of experience doing hard core work for 8 hours a day every day of the week. I’m currently in university studying marketing, and I’m only in my second year, I’ve got two years left to go before I finish my degree.

I’ve always been told that in order to land a good job in a good industry, you need to have a lot of professional experience, but I don’t really have any. Sure, I can use my current job as experience, but I feel like my lack of professional experience is going to hold me back once I’m actually out of school. I plan on trying to get an internship over the summer in the field of marketing, but I’m not even entirely sure if I’ll get one, and I’m not sure if that experience would really matter anyway.

I’m honestly just really scared about my future career. I don’t know if I’ll be able to land a good job, or if I’ll be able to get the kind of job I want, and it’s just really scary for me. I know this is my own problem to deal with, but I thought it might be good to vent about it a bit to people who might be able to relate to me, because sometimes when I bring it up to my family or friends, they’ll be like “Oh well you’re only 20, you’ve got your whole life ahead of you.” but I’m just not sure if that’s true. I don’t really know what to do.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know. I’d really appreciate it.
