How would you build an entire world from nothing?

Imagine you can start a whole world from scratch. What's the first thing you would create?<br>Things like the sun, atmosphere, landmasses, and oceans are probably a given, so once you have all the basics established, what are the next steps?<br>Some possible questions you might consider:<br>- What kinds of plants and animals would you want?<br>- What kind of climate would the world have?<br>- Would there be variation between landscapes?<br>- What kind of elements/minerals/gems would you include, and where would you put them?<br>- What are the physics of the world? What are the rules of magic?<br>- How do you get people on the world? Would you put them there naturally, or be the "creator"?<br>- Are there any kingdoms/countries/continents that you can name?<br>- What would happen to the planet as the inhabitants become more advanced?<br>- How would you get the inhabitants there in the first place?<br>- What is the general history of the world?<br><br>All these questions and more!<br>Or rather, am I seriously going to have to put this all in the comments again? I'm too lazy for that.<br><br>Edit: Okay no jokes, y'all are amazing. I cannot confirm or deny that, but I will tell you that I am a very religious person, and I take my beliefs very seriously. As for the rest of you religious people out there, I appreciate your kindness and I am glad that you shared your beliefs with me, but I am also unlikely to take them to heart as I have already been called to my faith, and nothing will change that.
