Trump lost, and the boom is over. Prepare for the bust.

Purchase history shows that we tend to buy more guns when a Democratic President is in office. Trump won in 2016, and sales plummeted, along with prices. Trump won again in 2020, and sales plummeted again.

Biden won in 2020, but it was close, and a lot of people felt that Trump would win again in 2024. Even if he didn't win, the Senate and the House were still in Republican control, so those people felt that gun laws wouldn't change much.

Trump lost last night. The Senate and the House are now both in Democratic control. A lot of people felt that this was a turning point for the country, and now they're going to go buy a lot of guns.

You should prepare for the boom by buying now, before prices skyrocket tomorrow.

Edit: I'm getting a lot of comments along the lines of "But I thought you said there was going to be a bust?" Yes, I did. But this boom is coming first. It will be a big boom, and it will drive up prices temporarily. But Biden and the Democratic Congress are going to ban a lot of stuff in the next two years, and that will cause a bust. When the police can't buy new ARs, the demand is going to shrink. When you can't buy a new AR, you're going to have to buy used or get something else. The type of person that buys an AR will buy used, and the type of person that buys something else will just stop buying altogether.

Eventually Biden will lose in 2024, or he'll win again in 2024 and lose in 2028, but until then the demand will be low and prices will drop.

I think that a better strategy than buying before the boom is to ride the boom out. If you need a gun, go buy one. But if you want one, you should wait.
