France plans to ban glyphosate herbicides by 2023

The ban on glyphosate-based herbicides will be introduced at the end of 2023 amid concerns by regulators about their impact on human health and the environment. Use of the chemical has fallen in recent years but farmers are concerned about the ban as they will lose an important tool in controlling weeds.
