Hello everyone. I'm a guy and I've often heard from a lot of couples where one partner tries to make the other partner feel like garbage for using dry shampoo. I'm curious as to why it's a bother when I use dry shampoo as a guy and what's the difference?

I will be honest, I don't use it too often. I use it when I'm in a hurry, when I'm too lazy to take a shower, or when I'm already feeling stressed out and anxious to talk to people, which is a lot of the time. My hair gets greasy/filmy and it's embarrassing for me. I don't use it dry shampoo as a way to avoid taking showers but I do use it when I don't have time to take a shower or because I'm having a bad anxiety day. I want to be clear that I'm not trying to use dry shampoo as a way to avoid showers but dry shampoo has helped dry my hair down a lot faster which has been really helpful for me. I hate looking like a greasy slob and it makes me feel like a piece of garbage. Dry shampoo has really helped dry down my hair quickly and it makes me feel more confident when I'm out with other people. Everyone is different and I think that's okay. I'm not a greasy slob or lazy but it's been really helpful to use dry shampoo.

This is a new topic I've been wondering about since my girlfriend offered to take a shower with me as a way to encourage me to get into the shower. I'm a terribly anxious person and I like to use dry shampoo because I don't dry my hair down when I'm feeling really anxious. I think she was trying to make me feel more comfortable by asking me to shower with her. I was surprised when she asked because she knows I don't want to be around people when I'm feeling anxious. I use dry shampoo because I don't dry my hair down properly which makes it look really greasy. But I don't think I'm a greasy slob or lazy.

I'm curious as to why it's a bother for some people if their partner uses dry shampoo.
