App idea: Undercover employee, for employees to choose when they want to work

The idea is that there’s an app where employees can express interest in working extra/covering certain shifts, but anonymously. They would be able to select from future shifts, either picking a specific shift date or deciding on a general days/time of day. The app would choose an employee from the submitted options and let them know along with the rest of the employees about who’ll be working that shift (though keeping the name of the chosen employee anonymous to everyone else). <br><br>If multiple employees have selected the same shift, I’d imagine the app would follow a first come, first served policy. Obviously to prevent employees backtracking, the app wouldn’t allow you to select the shift once an anonymous employee has been chosen. <br><br>I’ve already thought of one scenario where this could be taken advantage of. Employee selects all future shifts then waits until the last minute to cancel and get paid for a sick day. Honestly I’m pretty surprised this isn’t already an app, since so many people are loudly complaining about not being able to choose their shifts. <br><br>Let me know what you think about this idea, and if it’s something you’re passionate about feel free to run with it. I’m not the most skilled programmer and I’m not sure I’d be able to get this app in stores, but I do have an interest in coding.
