I’m afraid to ask this question but I have to know in order to move on and stop thinking about this person I like

I (12f) like a boy (12m) at my school and at one point I gave him a valentine with a note that asked if he liked me in return then he gave me a valentine and it didn’t have a note inside. I’m confident in thinking that he likes me, but I’m not 100% sure, so I’m going to ask him (not tomorrow, but soon) if he likes me. What if he does not? What if he says something bad? What if he tells his friends and they tease me? What are the outcomes?
