If you are Israeli, please don't feel afraid of death.

I'm not a very religious guy. I go to Synagogue on Shabbat, and I follow the law of the Shabbat, but I don't feel as if I am "religious", just more of a traditionalist. However, when Shmulik and Moshe were kidnapped, I started to pray with unimaginable focus, and I prayed for the return of the two boys, but it was not meant to be. I went to the rally last night in Tel Aviv, and I was so proud to see that the people didn't lose their grace and their solidarity in the face of the horrors that we've been faced with. I think that at this hour, we must remember that we have no other country of our own. We cannot just go to any other country and hope to be welcome, we can't. If we leave Israel, we will be victims and refugees, and that is not something that I am afraid of, I know that as an Israeli I am shaped and molded to face any challenge, but we do have a country. And it's that country that we must defend, each and every one of us, with every ounce of strength we have, because we know what will happen to us if we lose.

If you are Israeli, please don't feel afraid of death.

Don't be afraid of death, because you have a country. Don't be afraid of death, because of your friends and your family. Don't be afraid of death, because of the freedom and the prosperity we've earned already.

Now we must be martyrs.
