Chambers

My husband is the moderator for a few different chambers, and he genuinely thinks it's a job.

Wife here. Mentioned it in another post, but he's so obsessed with this, and he genuinely thinks he's doing something with his life. He gets home from his actual job, and spends the remainder of the day sitting on the computer checking his "moderation" history, reading the rules over and over again to make sure he's enforcing them properly, and tries to find ways to "improve" the chambers he "works" for. I've told him he's wasting his time, and he's like, "You just don't understand because you aren't a moderator."

He tries to argue that he's gaining useful skills like communication, listening to people, etc. But he uses none of those outside of the chambers communities.

I've told him before, what would you do if chambers shut down tomorrow? Would you be sad that you can't go back to being a moderator? He just rolls his eyes at me and tells me that chambers will never shut down, and he will always have his moderator position to fall back on.

He's becoming more and more anti-social too. He doesn't go out and hang out with friends, and he's starting to stop going out with me as well. Before he was always willing to go out to a restaurant or something, but now he's just like, "I'm good, you go." I've stopped asking lately because I know it's just a waste of my time asking.

It's to the point where I'm just waiting for him to get up in the morning, go to work, come home, and then go straight to the computer.

I'm so over it, and I honestly don't know what else to say to him.
