I think this guy is a highly intelligent and empathetic person who has a hard time understanding how to interact with the rest of us. It doesn't help that he's depressed, it makes it even harder for him to open up and talk to others. The proof is that he said that the woman who went on a date with him was a platonic friend from his childhood and she told him that he was too skinny for her and they've been friends for 20+ years and he didn't even notice it. If we were able to take over his body and see how much flashier we are because of the man he is then maybe he would understand. He's being used by the only woman in his life for her own sexual gratification. Which makes me wonder if she's a lonely woman who can't get a man so she's using him because that's the only way she can have sex.<br><br>He also has a very bad and unhealthy addiction to alcohol, which is a serious poison that makes us more stupid and dumber and can cause a lot of damage if we continue to abuse it, so I can only imagine how hard it must be for a depressed person to get out of bed and work on a hangover. In my case I have a lot of difficulty getting out of bed and would much rather sleep than face the world even if I'm not depressed but it's exhausting to have to do it every day even with a clean body. <br><br>With all this I can only imagine that he has difficulty interacting with the world because of his anxiety and depression, which makes him forget the only way to have a woman interested in him, she will work to get to know him, get a little closer because she finds him interesting and attractive. Not that he is so obsessed with the idea of being better that he ends up neglecting his work and thus unable to earn money to buy things for her, and because of his depression he is unable to maintain a healthy routine to improve his physique that will make him more attractive so that he can attract another woman if the one he is with is not interested. <br>I hate the fact that he's so obsessed with the idea of being better that he's making huge sacrifices in his life just to impress someone who doesn't even consider him attractive. I also really love the fact that he's being so selfless only because he's a romantic at heart and wants to be a good partner for the woman he loves.
