After a day at the beach with my girlfriend in her swimsuit, I understand why women don't like when men stare at them.

I'm bisexual but I've only been in serious relationships with women. While I immediately look away when I see a hot guy, I'm familiar with women's complaints that men stare at them for too long and I want to be respectful towards them, too.

Today, my gf went to the beach with me and wore a swimsuit that made her look even more beautiful than she already is. Every time she walked around or dove into the water, I couldn't help but stare. It's the woman I love and she's just so pretty. I controlled myself and made sure I didn't stare for too long or too obviously but sometimes I just can't help myself. I felt guilty each time, knowing how uncomfortable my girlfriends have been in the past when men stared at them for too long.

It's not malicious on my part. I do love her and I do think she's beautiful and attractive, but I can imagine how uncomfortable it must feel when *every* guy stares at a woman just because she's wearing a swimsuit.
