An app for sending anonymous texts from my own phone number to myself

This idea came to me while I was texting with a movie theater ticketing company. <br><br>It would be really cool if there was a service and app that would allow you to get a code or something that you could enter and it would send an anonymous text from your phone number back to your phone number. <br><br>This way, you don't have to give out your phone number and people/companies won't be able to contact you unless you want them to be able to. <br><br>Obviously this is a super dumb idea but I wanted to put it out there and see if anyone else thought it was a good idea for a future app.
