How to stop AI is a very very stupid question.

Everyday, I see tons of posts popping up, "how can we stop AI?". Genuinly, I feel like this has the same complexity as stopping electricity, and the only reason why people still think that we can stop it is because they have a complete lack of understanding about how technology works.

If we were to somehow stop AI by enforcing laws on big companies like google, they'll just lay off thousands of employees and move their AI operations to China. Then, China will lay off thousands employees and move their AI operations to India. Then India will lay off thousands of employees and move their AI operations to the only country without strict AI laws, North Korea.

If we, by some miracle, manage to stop every single big company around the world, the AI that's already built is sufficient enough to cause massive problems. In fact, it's already come to the point that you can copy a few lines of code off of github and make an AI bot that can talk to you like a real person.

So, the real question isn't "how do we stop AI", it's "how do we work with AI" to make sure it doesn't ruin our lives.
