Half my guns are locked up because I like sleeping naked.

My wife called me at 3:00 this morning and I thought I was caught. I was relieved that it was just a coincidence.

She was calling me to see if I heard a man in her house. She called 911 and they told her to get a weapon.

She is doing well. The police are there. No damage to person or property, but the cops took her handgun to check for prints. She has a shotgun in the safe, but it is locked up.

So, can I just get a consultation from the community here on what I should do? Half my firearms are unlocked and the other half are locked up in the safe. I have found that I'm not a guy who is going to have a gun in my pajamas. I like sleeping naked and I'm not worried about a home invasion in my bedroom, I can just pull the sheets up and no one will ever know that I violated every rule.

I have to admit though that it would be pretty cool in the heat of the moment to pull the sheets down and scream "you shouldn't have come here".
I'm going to get my concealed carry permit, but its pretty clear that I have no intention of ever carrying.

I'm probably going to end up leaving the ones that I think she would use unlocked and putting the bigger caliber ones in the safe. I'm sure that's wrong.

What do you do?

Tldr; I don't carry. My wife woke me up scared at 3:00am because there was a man in the house. He was gone but the house was torn up. The cops are there, but the house was untouched. So, how do you decide how many guns to keep unlocked and how many to lock up?
