I’d like an app for arguing with users. A “Devil’s Advocate” so to speak.

I’m envisioning an app where I can choose a topic and read an article about it. Then the app would send me notifications with common arguments from the other side of the topic. The app would know which side you’re on by your reaction to the notifications. If I’m reading an article supporting climate change and the app’s reaction is something like “1 degree in 100 years isn’t going to melt the polar ice caps or raise sea levels. Humans can adapt to this climate change”. If I click the notification I love it, it knows my stance on the issue. It continues to send common arguments from the other side on the topic and I can choose to love, ignore, or hate the message. The app remembers this info in case I ever use it for another topic so it should be able to get more refined as to my stance on certain issues over time with more use.

For instance if I’m reading an article about the electoral college and the notification from the app is something like “small states should also have a voice in DC”. If I love that notification, it knows I’m for the electoral college and will send me notifications with common arguments against the electoral college.

My desire for this is to get an understanding of what people who have differing opinions think on issues. I think if people did this, they’d realize that others aren’t demons like they think they are. I’d like to see this app used.
