Stop thinking these AI tools are sentient and this is an ethical debate

They are not sentient, nobody has created a sentient AI, at least not publicly. They are tools. They don't think they are sentient. If you say "it feels like you're sentient" to an AI tool, that's because of the way they're programmed. All it is doing is providing a better response to engage with the human. It is not sentient. No need for an ethical debate about how we should treat these things that are not alive.
