I have a problem. I studied English for 6 years in school, but I still struggle with English. I studied English at a low level, but I also used to flourish in English lessons, but I realise now that my English is very poor. I can read English well, but I still struggle with basic phrases like 'Who is this?' or 'How are you?' when I try to speak to a native English speaker. I also struggle with basic grammar, and I try not to make mistakes, but I still make them! I know I have to speak more English and exercise my English, but I feel embarrassed to flourish in English and then now to have English that I can barely use. I am not a beginner in English, but I am not intermediate. What is my level in English and how can I improve it now? I am from Eastern Europe and my English is not as strong as a Western European's is.

Edit: I have had one message from someone who is learning a Slavic language asking for advice. So many people have given me advice, and I am grateful for all of it. I have a long way to go, but I now know how to improve my English, so thank you to everyone who has given me advice. Also, to anyone who doesn't speak a Slavic language as their mother tongue but is learning a Slavic language, don't give up!

Edit: For context, this is my typical day in English

9am-3pm: I am at school, where I do not study English

4pm-7pm: I am on a bus where often I have no signal to listen to English podcasts or music

7pm-9pm: I am with my family where we speak our mother tongue

9pm-10pm: After dinner, I exercise and listen to English language music

10pm-10:30pm: I go over my English vocabulary and translation exercises for a test

10:30pm: I go to bed, ready to do it all again the next day

I don't have time to do anything else in English apart from what I do already apart from learning vocabulary for my tests and listening to English music, which is what I realise now. I am only 16, so I have plenty of time to exercise my English skills, but I have been given great advice

acağıEdit: I have decided to flourish in English again, realise that learning a language is a marathon and not a sprint and try to speak more in English. I am not a beginner in English, but I am beginner at speaking English, which is something that I have not practiced enough. Thank you to everyone for the advice that you have given me.
