I am a white man and was the victim of a racist hate crime in Dallas…..<br><br>I’m not sure why but I’m feeling a bunch of emotions. Maybe posting here will help process. <br><br>Yesterday afternoon I was in my front yard mowing the lawn when a car drove by and a few young black men were in their yelling “I’m gonna shoot you in the head” and throwing small water balloons at me that were filled with something other than water as the smell was atrocious and now my yard smells like dog poop. <br><br>Even more disturbing is their apparent blatant disregard for the law. I’m sure if roles were reversed there would be a lot of outrage and a manhunt for these young racist assholes. <br><br>I’m just glad they threw water balloons as there was a child in the car and I didn’t want to take the risk of it being a more dangerous item. <br><br>I’m sad that these young people feel like this, do they not know that everyone has the same 24 hours in a day and that your future is not defined by the color of your skin but your choices?<br><br>I don’t know, maybe I’m just being a snowflake but the reality is that if roles were reversed this would be a national news story.
