Where do you get your ideas from?

When I'm bored, I sometimes write short stories as a way to get my imagination flowing. Usually this is just for personal pleasure but sometimes I write something that I think is of high quality.<br><br>I have written 3 stories in the last 3 days and feel as though they have all turned out well. But I just can't seem to stop writing. My story ideas folder is filling up and I'm just being given more and more prompts for short stories. <br><br>I've even made a list of possible story prompts for myself so that I have something to work on without having to constantly wait for an idea. That list has grown exponentially over the last few days.<br><br>Where do your story ideas come from? Do you have a way of creating them? Do you have a way of controlling them? And if so, please tell me. I can't think of anything other than writing right now.<br><br>Edit: I'm not complaining. I'm just surprised at the amount of ideas that I've had lately. I thought it would be cool to know where people get their ideas from, for future reference. Editing in an attempt to stop the rudeness.
