I had no idea how much money I was wasting

*Some background*
I'm a 19 year old who has been casually working at this particular grocery store for 6 months. Over the holidays I worked a lot more than usual. I also did some babysitting on the side (which I usually don't do).
I've also been doing some babysitting throughout this year, maybe once or twice a week. As you can probably tell, I'm a college student. I have a lease but usually go home on the weekends. My budget is pretty decent considering I don't have any debt and my parents cover my college tuition. However, I still have to pay for living expenses, food, car expenses, etc. I usually make around $800 a month working 20-25 hours a week plus tips.

So after working a lot the past few months and having some savings.... I actually had real money for once. And I could buy something I actually wanted. One of my biggest purchases was a pair of $80 boots I wanted for a long time. I have realized I don't care that much for them and I don't wear them. Im planning on selling them soon and buying some boots from Target instead.

This made me realize how much money I have wasted in the past. I have also been reading a lot of posts on frugal living and I'm determined to save money. I've already changed a lot of things including, turning off lights, not eating take out, stopping impulse buys and buying cheap food instead of eating out.
