***The Major Gun Sales Rule Changes are Live!***

Hey all, I know many of you guys saw the feature request for a change to some of our rules regarding major gun sales (guns, frames/receivers, or NFA items), but I wanted to personally post an update on that since it's something important that everyone needs to be aware of.<br><br>The rules change that was just pushed live includes a new body of Major Gun Sales Rules that Major Gun Sales submitters will now need to follow. These can be found in the standard rules list in the sidebar on desktop and bottom on mobile.<br><br>Here are the Major Gun Sales Rules that are now live:<br><br>* **Major gun sales require some form of proof that you own the item (be it a gun, lower/upper receiver, or NFA item). There are 2 exceptions to this:** <br>+ If you have any special permissions (such as verified trader or verified buyer), you are not required to show any form of ID or proof of ownership.<br>+ If you are purchasing or selling an NFA item you are not required to show any form of ID or proof of ownership. However, you must still comply with all local and federal laws related to the sale.<br>* **Prohibited from buying and selling guns, uppers, lowers, and NFA items are:** <br>+ Full autos/FA kits <br>+ Machine guns<br>+ Suppressors<br>+ SBR/SBS<br>+ APCs<br>* **Permitted from buying and selling guns, uppers, lowers, and NFA items are:**<br>+ Semi-auto guns and uppers<br>+ PCCs<br>+ Pistols<br>+ Shotguns<br>+ Rifles<br>+ Sling shot<br>+ Muzzle loader<br>+ Bolt action<br>+ Lever action<br>+ Revolvers<br>+ Semi-auto NFA items <br>+ Handguns<br>+ AR-15/AR-10<br>+ M16 Full size rifle<br>+ MILSURP<br>+ AR pistol<br>+ 80% lowers<br>* **The following will result in a permanent ban:** <br>+ Sending pictures that are not your own whether you are buying or selling<br>+ Any form of scamming or illegal activity<br>+ Misrepresenting items<br>* **Each post will have a minimum of the following:** <br>+ Description<br>+ Price<br>+ Condition<br>+ Serial #<br>+ And the state/city or region the item is located in<br>* **For shipping it is your responsibility to follow these steps:**<br>+ Contact the buyer to confirm the sale, payment method, and payment amount<br>+ Look back at the comments to see if the buyer has any questions for you<br>+ Send the seller your payment information whether that is PayPal/Zelle/Venmo, etc.<br>+ Contact the buyer by message to confirm the sale<br>+ Look back at the comments to see if the seller has any questions for you<br>+ Pay the seller using the payment information that they gave you<br>+ Once the transaction has taken place the buyer contacts the seller by message to confirm that the transaction has taken place<br>* **After the transaction is complete do not comment or DM to ask if the item is still for sale.** <br>+ Any inquiries should be sent via message to the seller<br>+ Posting comments asking if something is still for sale will result in a permanent ban<br>* **After commenting on a post you must wait 30 minutes before posting again on that same thread.** <br>+ This is to reduce clutter on the comment threads and reduce the amount of comments in a post<br>* **If the seller makes a post for an item that has already been sold, the post is deleted and the seller gets a warning.** <br>+ If it happens again the seller will receive a ban<br>* **When the buyer purchases an item from a seller they must send the seller a message confirming that the item has been purchased.** <br>+ If the seller says that the buyer has purchased the item but the buyer does not have proof of the purchase, the buyer can be reported to the mods and receive a ban<br>+ Any form of scamming is not tolerated by the mods and will be enforced to the fullest extent<br>* **Any post that is not about buying or selling a major gun item will be deleted whether you are buying or selling.** <br>+ If you are selling a major gun item but also other items, any items that are not major gun items will be deleted<br>* **Any Major Gun Sale post that is outside of the local area of the seller will be deleted.** <br>+ This sub is for local sales only. Please do not post any major gun sale posts that are outside of the local area of the seller.<br><br>We hope that these new rules will help to create better Major Gun Sale posts and submitters, and I hope that we can all work together as a community to make sure our Major Gun Sales are high-quality and safe for everyone involved. <br><br>And I want to extend a thank you to the many fans of our sub who reached out and suggested the creation of a Major Gun Sales feature to improve our Major Gun Sale environment.
