My boyfriend found stillborn puppies in his dog's whelping box

**TLDR:** I woke up to the sound of puppies crying and my girlfriend and I were so excited to see the babies, but when we went to see them they were stillborn.<br><br>***<br><br>This is a tough one for me to talk about, so I'm just going to throw it out there. My boyfriend has a dog, a three year old Great Dane.<br><br>We adopted an eight week old puppy last year, and it was love at first sight for the still puppy and the mom.<br><br>The mother dog would groom the little one and share her toys and attention with still nothing but love for us.<br><br>My boyfriend and I had been talking about having a baby for a while, but our incomes were too unstable, and our house wasn't quite ready to take on a baby.<br><br>We were so excited, and when we went to check on him we found the babies, but when we went to check on him we found the babies were stillborn.<br><br>It was still a puppy, but it was small. It didn't look like a full term puppy and we could tell that it had been stillborn.<br><br>We were disappointed, but we took her (the mother) to the vet and she had an emergency c-section. She ended up with three stillborn puppies, and one healthy puppy. <br><br>We were so excited, and she was so healthy. She's been growing and thriving ever since. She's a happy healthy puppy.
