I just cleaned out a plastic bucket of old batteries.

I have about 30 old batteries in this plastic bucket, some go back to 2012! Most are AA and AAA so I will keep those, but I have some random D and one odd sized battery I have no clue what runs on it. I also have like 8 9v batteries. <br><br>So my question is, what would be the best way to recycle batteries? I have 2 stores in my area that take batteries, but I'm not sure if they take odd batteries. <br><br>I also don't want to just throw them in the trash, it's not right and it will hurt the environment. So if anyone has tips or what they do with batteries I would love to hear!<br><br>Edit: for those wondering where I live. I'm in the US. Texas to be exact.
