Where do I find the written down things our principal says?

I'm a student teacher and our principal also has told us multiple times that things he says in meetings (staff, student teacher, whatever) are considered policy. However, he never actually writes it down. I've tried to contact him via email and he said he doesn't answer questions via email that he has already answered in meetings. I've tried reaching out to other teachers here and some will answer questions, but some will tell me to look it up and that I should already know. It feels like a lot of information is just kind of verbally handed down and it's confusing. It's not something that I would have caught on to in the few meetings I've been to.
