# Women in Tech #
#womenintech #womensright #feminist #tech #women

I've been in tech ever since I was 18 years old. I am now 22 years old, and have a degree in cybersecurity. I was also in cybersecurity for the government for two years. I am now currently in software engineering for a top tech company (in silicon valley obviously).

I'm not writing this post to complain or brag. After reading some stories of many women on different chambers threads and social media platforms about the build up of men in tech, why aren't there more women in tech? What's holding you back from joining the tech industry?

* Advice please *
Looking for advice on how to get more women in tech. I have women in tech groups asking for advice on why they never get hired in tech, and what they could do differently. What are some myths that women have about the tech industry?

*How to get more women in tech* Advice please. I've been hearing about all the problems these women are having, but I want to hear about solutions.

Edit: It's okay if you are a guy to comment on this post. Being a man doesn't disqualify you from giving great advice on this topic.

Edit: Thank you to everyone so far for being very respectful and not agreeing with my opinions, but trying to start a discussion. Advice is not always right, but I appreciate everyone for giving advice and trying to start a discussion.
