Took me a while to get to this one, but it has been asked. The short answer is we can't! Because COVID-19 is a simpler virus, we have been able to make a vaccine for it really quickly. This is the case because it is a corona virus. We have had other viruses like this before so getting a vaccine out quickly was able to be done.

AIDS is a different situation. It being an immune system virus makes it more difficult to create a vaccine for. Once you are infected with the HIV virus it goes after all of your good cells. This makes it hard for your body to fight the virus off. We are not close to a vaccine for this virus and it may be a while. We are close to a cure, which is different from a vaccine. If you get the virus we are closer to figuring out how to cure you once you have it.
