Why Men Can Never Be Victims

All of you guys know this, but I'd like to give my thoughts and analysis, and try to understand the reasoning behind it.<br><br>I'm sure that most of you guys have heard about this throwaway line "Men can never be victims". I mean, it's literally everywhere, and ingrained into the social psyche. Maybe this is why most men are expected to toughen up, and never cry. Men, unlike women, are expected to suck it up, and never show our emotions. If we do, we will be labeled as pussies, faggots, and whatever else. Maybe this is why most men are expected to be the "breadwinner", and the protector of everyone else. We're expected to reject any form of help in favor of helping others. We're expected to go to war, defend a nation, and die in a foreign land. Hell, we're expected to die if it means saving a woman.<br><br>Think about it. As men, we can't even talk about our problems, let alone show them. If we do, the only help that we'll get is being told to "man up". Men can't speak about mental health problems, a bad childhood, being beaten or raped, or anything else. This is why I reject any form of modern feminism. Feminism isn't about equality, and has changed into a movement that is not only against men, but female dissenters. Any woman who speaks out against feminism is labeled as a "self-hating" woman, and is usually shamed into a corner. Just look at Camille Paglia and how she was treated after she criticized modern feminism. The women who speak out against feminism are usually called "pussies", "cunts", and other degrading slurs. The modern feminist movement is one-sided, and actively works against any dissent against them.<br><br>The way that a patriarchal society works is that men are at the top of society, followed by women, and then children. Women were expected to maintain the household, raise the kids, and cook. In return, men would protect them, and provide for them. In this sense, men and women have the same roles both outside of and in the home. The difference is that men have to go outside the home, and work. I think that this is where this notion that "men can never be victims" comes into play. We're expected to be the protectors, and the defenders of society. We're expected to reject any form of help, and just deal with our own problems. We're expected to go outside the home, and work until we die.<br><br>I'm not saying that this is justified, but this is the reason why "men can never be victims". As men, we're expected to maintain society, and protect everyone else. The way that men and women are looked at is vastly different. Men are looked at as providers, protectors, strong, and unemotional. Any man reject these roles is usually looked at as weak. Women are expected to be caregivers, and look after children. Maybe this is why women are expected to be more emotional, and empathetic. Any woman who rejects these roles is usually looked at as cold, and heartless.<br><br>This is why I reject any notion that women are oppressed. I'm not saying that women aren't given their own set of expectations, but they're a hell of a lot better than those that men are given. Women have been able to express themselves freely for a long time. Women are able to cry, and talk about their problems openly. Women are given help, and leeway that men aren't given. It's easier for women to get out of a jail/prison sentence than it is for men. Women are usually paid more than men for the same job. Women are given a free pass to do and say whatever they want, while men are held to a higher standard.<br><br>This is why I'm glad that I'm a part of the MGTOW movement, because we reject these roles. We reject the notion that we must be providers, and protectors. We reject the notion that we can't be victims. We reject the notion that we can't talk about our problems. We reject the notion that we can't be emotional. We reject the notion that women are oppressed. We reject the notion that we must go outside the home, and work until we die. In reality, both men and women are oppressed. It's just that women are given a lot more leeway, and opportunities than men. I think that MGTOW is a much more honest and realistic movement than modern feminism. Most of the modern feminist movement has devolved into misandry, and man-hating.
