I haven't had to shoplift in over a year and a half, I have nothing but appreciation and respect to those who are in the darker times of life and find themselves having to shoplift.

I don't have any advice, only this:

I've always done it for personal needs, not to resell. When I'm settling into the darker parts of life I find myself reaching for comfort items, for food, I can't afford, and when I do, I have to accept the fact that I've done something wrong.

When I've reached for something I've never had I have to mentally prepare myself to accept the lack of self respect and take in the fact that I've decided to shoplift something I don't really need.

As for shoplifting; I don't care about anyone in the store, the employees, the ceo, the store it self. I care for myself, and I can only see to myself. I'm not a thief, I'm a survivor.

When you see a shoplifter in the wild, and you wanna stop them, just don't. You have no right to care about anyone but yourself. If you have enough care for your chances of surviving, you'll care enough for your own sanity.

You have your survival, I have mine. You have your needs, I have mine. But don't confuse needs with wants.

I care for my chances of survival, so I care for my mental needs;.peaceful for now.
