The head of the house, Fadi Jaradat, told Arab News: “An Israeli soldier broke into our home at 2am. My daughter Amira (18) shouted at him asking what was he doing? He said he wanted to have sex with her.”<br>Jaradat recounted that the soldier had at first tried to break into other homes in the neighborhood, but inhabitants called the police. “According to the investigation results, our daughter caught him taking down her undergarments from the drying rope and masturbating in her bedroom. She shouted at him and he put the undergarments back on the drying rope,” he said. <br>Jaradat continued, “When the police came they arrested him; he was wearing only his under-garments.” A statement from Israeli police noted: “A 19-year old Israeli soldier was caught by Palestinian residents from Beit Safafa after he broke into a house at 2am in an attempt to rape a girl. He was caught while masturbating on her undergarments.” “The soldier offered to give the residents $1,000 to drop the charges against him,” the statement added. <br>The soldier remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing. The military said it is working with police in the investigation. <br>The incident was met with widespread outrage, with many calling the soldier a pedophile and a threat to the safety of children. In 2019, Israeli soldier Rami Shmueli was arrested after he was caught outside a Palestinian girl’s window masturbating. He was arrested and his case was closed by the Israeli military without any consequences.
