AITA for telling my girlfriend that I went fishing with my friends this past weekend?

Me and my girlfriend have planned a trip for me to come visit her family in a different state. I haven't met them before. The trip was planning on happening this past weekend.

On tuesday the plan was for me to take a half day from work, drive 8 hours, and spend the night at a friends house. On Wednesday, I was going to take the remaining 4 hours to drive to her parents and she would pick me up from a nearby city.

On monday I got a call from her telling me that she was sick with covid. I asked her how sick she was and she told me she was sick enough that she wasn't comfortable to have me visit her parents. So we decided to postpone.

I told her that instead of taking time off, I was going to go fishing with some friends. She thought that was a bad idea and told me I should cancel since covid is super dangerous and she also didn't think that I should be sharing a car with friends. I told her that the car will have open windows and she told me that it isn't enough to prevent covid.

I told her it was too late to cancel because we had already made plans and I didn't wanna be an ah. She asked me if I would cancel if she asked me to. I told her no.

She told me that this was giving her flashbacks of when one of her ex's went to a party when she asked him not to because she was sick and worried about covid.

I told her that this wasn't the same and I wasn't concealing anything from her. I told her that she was being unreasonable for asking me to cancel when I had already made plans.

The topic of covid is a touchy topic for her because her grandad died to covid a year ago and she has been afraid of it since.

So AITA for telling her that I was going fishing and for not cancelling?
