I can’t get the Harry Potter series out of my head because of the way women were treated by men in it.

The way Voldemort treated Bellatrix as a casual side chick and how much she endured for him. Getting locked up for years and still just releasing and acting insane in his honor after. She was obsessed with Voldemort. The way she put him on a pedestal was insane. How much she put up with. It was gross. <br><br>Bellatrix deserved to die for what she did. But I can’t help but feel bad when I remember she was begging to be beheaded by beheading and wasn’t given that. And how in the end her son was taken from her and given to her mother in law instead of her too. It was heartbreaking. <br><br>And all of the men who had kids with their wives and then didn’t even take them with them on their death missions. Like Bellatrix was the only woman who had a child and went to war. I feel like Molly and the other moms should have gone as well. <br><br>Remember how much Ginny and Molly and all of the women put up with in that story. The way they were left behind to deal with all of the kids and in-laws while the men were gallivanting. And they were never even given credit for it. <br><br>Like, Molly was the leader of the group. Harry Potter was only the 'main character' because he was the chosen one. Like no one would want to read about Molly's life as a mom. <br><br>And remember when Harry Potter and Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were down by the lake, and Ron was like, “You know Harry, I think you like Hermione” and Harry was like, “No I’ve always been in love with her” and Ron was like, “Ron was like, oh, because I thought you were in love with Ginny, that’s why I never went after Hermione” and Harry was like “No, I couldn’t have been in love with Ginny. She’s my sister’s friend. I’m in love with Hermione.” And then Ron was like, “Well, Hermione is my best friend and I can’t date her. But you know what Harry? I’ve always wanted to bone Ginny” and in the end it worked out because Ginny had an open relationship with him. <br><br>Sorry for the rant. I just feel like the women in this story were screwed over by the men.
