Visiting the far-off countries that the average person hasn't been to is overrated and I know it'll be downvoted to oblivion

I've been to most of South America (Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Suriname, French and British Guiana), Central America (Mexico and Costa Rica), the Caribbean (Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Barbados), Asia (Thailand, Cambodia), Africa (Ghana, Togo, Ethiopia) and Europe and even though the far-off countries in South America and Asia were fun to visit, I think they're overrated. For example I liked Costa Rica and Puerto Rico far more than Brazil or Argentina, and Spain was way more fun than any other country I've visited.

It's exhausting traveling across multiple time zones, the flights are expensive, and even though the people are nice there, it's hard to appreciate lands that are so different from what we're used to, and the culture is so far away from ours that we can't appreciate it. It's true that the countries that are far away from us are cheaper to travel to, but suffering 20-hour flights, jet lag, and other stuff just to save money on hotel and food isn't worth it. For example if I compare my trip to Ethiopia to my trip to Spain, my trip to Spain was way more enjoyable and I was able to enjoy myself more, even though it was more expensive.

It's overrated visiting countries that are far away from ours. I know I'll get downvoted but I'm telling my truth.
