Hey guys, it feels like we’re finally turning a corner with COVID and I’m thinking about traveling again, and a big part of that for me is going back to Europe, after a jaunt to Ecuador.

I’m originally from Europe but have lived in the Americas for the past three years. I’ve traveled extensively to Europe from the US and Canada before the pandemic, but I’m wondering what the situation is like now. I’m double vaxxed with Pfizer and have had a booster, and a family member was able to travel to France and Italy no problem last year.

I’ve had a hard time on the US side getting an antigen test before traveling, and I’m wondering if anyone has had success with the rapid antigen tests or if I should just always plan for a PCR test.

Also, I’m now an American living in Canada so I’m not sure about the requirements for the US side as I don’t know if they consider me a Canadian or American.

TLDR: thoughts on traveling from North or South America to Europe in 2022.

EDIT: Wow, thanks for the kind words and for all the helpful advice! I’m going to do some research, I’ll update with what I find.
