How could they could've done a better ending for Attack On Titan?

I'm not here to rant about the final arc, I love it and I think it's really cool. I'm not gonna say that the ending should be more like the anime, like other people have been saying.<br><br>I think that they should've set up the ending way earlier. I don't know about you guys, but I didn't expect the direction the ending went. I can kind of understand that Armin and Mikasa aren't the "main characters," but they have been with Eren for his whole life. It doesn't feel right that they could turn on him so quickly.<br><br>But I think that if they set up the ending a little bit earlier, they could've hinted that Armin and Mikasa were going to feel this way. I don't know if it's just me, but to me... it doesn't feel like they acted like themselves.<br><br>What are your thoughts?
