How much $ does everyone spend weekly on meal prep groceries?

Hi everyone,

I've been meal prepping for about 6-8 weeks and need to scale back how much I'm spending. I'm currently consuming 2,300 calories, 310-340g protein and all macros (I counted) for $80/week. This breaks down to about $2.29/serving * 7 meals = $15.93/week.

I'm eating all chicken, rice, beans, bread, veggie burgers, Tofu, almond milk, almond butter... Etc.

My grocery list is over 50+ items, which makes my entire grocery shopping trip somewhat of a pain to navigate.

I know the prices vary by region, location, time of year, weather, etc. But I'm seeing a trend of people spending $50-$70/week for similar amounts of calories and protein.

I'd appreciate a few cooked weight examples. 1.5lbs chicken breast weekly? 1 cup rice? Tofu once or twice a week?

TLDR: Spend $80/week for 2,300cals, 340g protein across 7 meals weekly for meal prep. Spending to much money.

edit: Thank you all so much for the feedback you all provided. I think I can definitely reduce the grocery list and come up with a few variations that are lower cost. And I'm going to reduce my grocery list nand shop more frequently. A few changes I've made are swapping almond milk for regular milk, buying frozen mixed berries in bulk instead of fresh fruit, and eating less amounts of meat, but more frequently. So instead of 200g protein chicken breast * 3 times a week, I'm doing 200g 5-6 times a week. I'm going to scale back on the bread and start eating more oats.

TLDR: Thank you all for your input! I plan on making these changes.
