I wake up at 4:30 am every day. It’s the most important part of my day, and I feel lost if I don’t get it.

The routine is simple:

Wake up at 4:30 am. Brush teeth. 10-minute walk.

Come back home and have a full glass of water. I drink a liter of water almost immediately after waking up.

Meditate for 30 minutes. I sometimes take an additional 30 minutes to think about life and plan out the day. I prefer morning over night time because I have already slept on my ideas and have a fresh perspective.

Workout. 45 minutes of intense HIIT, 15 minutes of yoga, and a 10-minute walk to cool down. I keep my phone away, and I prefer working out alone and outdoors.

I then have an hour of learning. I read books, listen to podcasts, or watch educational videos on topics like science, technology, philosophy, and productivity.

Finally, I write. I write fiction and non-fiction, and maintain a journal. It’s my way of expressing myself, and I feel incomplete if I miss this ritual.

These are the most important hours of my day. Nothing else is as important to me.
