I'm a grown man who sleeps with a stuffed animal and a night light because I'm so afraid of being alone

I'm a grown man in my late 30s and I sleep with a night light and a stuffed shark. I'm so afraid of being alone and I can't seem to break the habit of having a comfort object with me as I sleep. <br><br>I don't know what else to do, I've been like this for as long as I remember. Even when I had a girlfriend I would still sleep with the night light on and sleep with my shark or a stuffed tiger. <br><br><br><br>It's embarrassing really, but it's the only thing that makes me feel secure and I hope that I can break the habit someday.
