Was Chat GPT ever actually good? (beta vs pro)

I don't really know what's happening but I've had GPT Pro since it launched. I had been enjoying using it, but the more I use it, the more I realize I don't really know what's going on. I just started wondering if the pro I have now would have been terrible as beta a few years ago.<br><br>Am I really just praising Chat GPT because the AI from 5 years ago was terrible?<br><br>Since the beginning of Chat GPT, I have never actually used GPT 3.5, only my Pro. I don't know how much better it actually is, or how long I've actually been using it. It feels like I've been using it for 2 years, but at the same time, 6 months. I don't know. I just want people's thoughts on if Chat GPT is really worth all the hype.<br><br>I'm very confused and just want to be able to talk with an AI.
