Is it possible to insert a razor into the middle of the pack so you can just walk out with the pack open?

I’m on a serious anti-shoplifting kick right now (mostly just a troll, but it is effective at scaring off potential partners and allaying the burn I have as an ex shoplifter), but I am theorizing as I am getting my degree in criminology, and just wondering if this is a thing?<br><br>What I am essentially saying is that you take a pack of beer for example, and you weaken the plastic around the middle of it.<br><br>Then insert a razor, and you’ll be able to just unfold the middle of the pack upon walking out.<br><br>So you just walk out with the pack open, because open beers aren’t shoplifting.<br><br>Or do they?
