They want their specialisation to be recognised, valued and respected. Internet comments often refer to the specialisation as "mum" or "wife" or "homemaker", but are these the correct terms? Women often are "mums" or "wives" and work in the home, but these roles are not the specialisation. <br><br>In 100+ years of women's rights, women have not been able to define the specialisation. A specialisation is defined as a particular job, area of study, or position. A doctor is a specialisation, a nurse or lawyer are specialisations. A teacher, engineer, beautician, and bricklayer are all specialisations. <br><br>Our societies are utilitarian, no work is valued unless it contributes to the society. A person who receives money to babysit a child whilst the parents are at work is making a contribution. The work a stay at home parent performs is not valued or recognised. <br><br>What is "mum" or "wife"?
