This is something I tell a few close friends in dark times.

I strongly believe in the simulation theory.

I don't know if it's **likely**, but it's so beautiful to imagine how our reality could be the future simulation of a human from centuries ago.

So, in this hypothetical "future" where humans would have advanced to simulate reality, humanity would have went **through** our current world, and then just continued to evolve and grow to then simulate reality.

So, the dark times you are going through now, are just phases that we have already **passed through**. Just like a video game simulation, where you know you **are** going to beat the level, because you've done it countless times before. But you still have to play the level out.

So in this hypothetical reality, we've already **lived** through these experiences, and these are just projections, simulations of how we once lived.

And so, whenever I feel helpless, or the situation seems bleak, I think about this theory. There is a future **beyond** this point, and this point seems **insignificant**. We've already overcome it, and it's just the same cycle that we will continue to go through.

And then, there is a moment of peace, in this strange feeling of pre-destination.

Edit:

Wow, thank you **so much** for the gold, and for getting me to platinum. I don't know what to say, I'm blown away by how much this blew up, I don't know if I've had a post get this many upvotes ever. Thank you for sharing, and for reading, it means quite a bit when people take the time to give me gold, and an award.

This is a repost from another account I have, so if it seems a bit off, it's because it was from a **different** subreddit.

Thank you all again, this **really** means a lot to me.
