This is a long story, so I apologize in advance. I will get to the story soon!

I’m a 30 year old single mom. My son is 3 months old.

When we were 7, my mom took in a foster family nearby. The mom, dad, and 3 little kids got an apartment next door. We all became close. One of the daughters was the same age as me. She was very chunky, but I was too. She became my best friend until I was around 9.

We would play video games together, eat pizza, see movies, go shopping, and go to the amusement park. She taught me how to swim, and I taught her how to ride a bike. We had our first sleepovers, first boy talk, first bra talk. We would even have pretend makeup and cooking parties, just the two of us.

We were both very happy, very easy going, and very positive. I always felt very comfortable. We both had curly brown hair and blue eyes, and were also a similar body type.

We had a special connection most can’t understand, because we were taught that we needed to be taught on how to live. We were two young girls who figured things out on our own, together.

We fell out of touch, but remained in the same city. I never forgot about her, and always wondered what she was doing. We would sometimes run into each other, but I never got to speak with her until I was 12, and she was 12. I was about 80 lbs, and she was about 120 lbs. She was still very pretty, but started to get chubby again. I didn’t care about her weight, but I was allowed to call her fatso because she called me bones.

We would occasionally run into each other after that, but never really got to talk until we were both 17. I was 180 lbs, and she was 220 lbs. She was about a size 20, and I was about a size 16. We both still recognized each other, but it was clear we were both a lot bigger than we used to be. We would run into each other every few months, but I didn’t know where she lived.

We ran into each other again when we were 19, at the mall. I was 230 lbs, and she was 300 lbs. She was a size 32, and I was still about a size 22. I asked her after that day if she wanted to get food with me. We went to the buffet down the street and had a nice conversation.

After that, I got pregnant. I was about 300 lbs when I gave birth. I’ve lost about 70 lbs since then. I ran into her at a playground a few weeks ago. She was with her daughter, and she was 400 lbs. She was still short, but she was bigger than I ever saw her. We talked for a bit and made plans to meet up after we leave the park.

I met up with her last week. I brought my son with me. She brought her daughter as well. We drank some coffee, ate some snacks, and talked about a lot of things. I was 230 lbs at that point. Her daughter was 2, and my son was 3 months. I was very happy to see that her daughter was chubby, and that she doesn’t care.

She says she’s 420 lbs now, and I’m so happy for her. I’m glad she’s being her true self, and I’m so happy to see her so happy. I’m also happy that her daughter is chubby, and that she encourages her to eat. She told me that she was 380 lbs when she got pregnant, and that she put on about 40 lbs during pregnancy. She still looks beautiful, and her baby is chubby too.

I’m glad I got to see her so happy, and I’m glad that she can be the mom she wants to be.
