The entire point of AI is that it can be used across multiple standards rather than a single specific type like human intelligence

I feel like this is the biggest misunderstanding. So many people think AI should function like a human and will continue to waste their time for years trying to force the round peg (AI) into the square hole (the human mind).

What makes people think a computer algorithm will act like a human? This is a tremendous misunderstanding. It’s what prevents people from understanding the importance of training your AI and not just being lazy.

GPT is a more generic type of intelligence. It’s a reduced form of intelligence. It’s not as smart as a human but it’s also more versatile. It can do tasks for a fraction of the cost and time of a human. We should be using it to enrich our lives.

Instead you see these moronic standards of evaluation. Some examples are:

1. Some human intelligence is optimal and AI should be compared to that.
2. AIs should be able to perform human tasks.
3. AIs will take human jobs.
4. AIs will invade human jobs.
5. AIs invade human cognition and thereby reduced self-faith.
6. AIs are horrible because they waste human time.
7. AIs are horrible because they waste human time when used as an aide.

All of these are wrong because they aren’t how humans actually use AIs. AIs are used for processing tasks. This is a tremendous reduced form of intelligence that is standards with automation. And it’s the point.
