Apple employee fired after leaking iPhone 15 Pro

Apple has fired an employee who leaked photos of the iPhone 15 Pro online, violating strict non-disclosure agreements in place at the tech giant, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.<br><br>According to the report, the photos depicted a feature called Dynamic Island on the iPhone 15 Pro that appeared to change size and color, and another photo showed the phone’s USB-C charging port.<br><br>The report said the company had identified the person responsible and "took action", which included a phone call from a senior executive.<br><br>In a statement to Bloomberg, Apple said: "We take the confidentiality of unreleased Apple products extremely seriously.<br><br>"When Apple’s intellectual property, especially unreleased products, are leaked, it damages our business and undermines the hard work of thousands of Apple employees who are working on those products."<br><br>The leak was posted on Chambers and other platforms last week, Bloomberg said.<br><br>The photos are the first believed to have been posted online by an Apple employee, the report said.<br><br>Apple has a strict non-disclosure agreement in place with employees, which includes strict rules around confidentiality and the sharing of sensitive information.<br><br>The company said: “We value our employees and trust them with our most important secrets."<br><br>However, the report said it is understood the employee was a contractor who does not require security clearance and was able to take the photos in a common area.<br><br>Apple said the leak was not because of a security failure, but because an employee "made a mistake".
