My dad (a hardcore anti vaxer) got Covid and it has opened his eyes

A week ago my Dad, who is 65 years old and has always been a hardcore anti vaxer, got Covid and I have to say that it really has opened his eyes. He had agreed to get vaccinated and was actually getting ready for his appointment when he caught the virus. He has been quite ill but thankfully recovering now and has also contacted the doctor to let him know that he is ready to get the vaccine. I hope he stays strong and gets better and that this experience has taught him a lesson. I also have to admit that I have always felt worried and anxious while watching the news and seeing the number of cases and hospitalizations and how it is affecting the people in the country. I have also lost my aunt to the virus and I think that it has also affected my dad and that’s why I think he has become more accepting of the idea of getting vaccinated. But I would also like to know if anyone else has experienced anything similar to this?
