I think I'm going to go insane if I have to hear one more "What if Antimatter AI is like Skynet"

I don't know how many times I have had to explain that the analogy between Skynet and antimatter AI is a bad one. Skynet was a software program designed to launch nukes in the event of a nuclear attack. In the event of a nuclear attack, Skynet launched nukes.

To be clear, antimatter AI is not a *psudo-human AI*, it's a Antimatter Computer that uses AI to make decisions, and the AI is nothing more than a machine learning-based program that helps the computer make decisions.

This isn't like Skynet where a powerful AI just decides to kill everyone and then starts doing things it wasn't programmed to do. This Antimatter Computer is purpose-built to process large amounts of information and make decisions based on that information.

So can we please stop with this Skynet crap? It's just not a good analogy and it's being used by people who don't understand the underlying technology to spread fear and panic.

So next time someone starts spouting off about Skynet just explain to them how the analogy doesn't hold up. Let's all just take a deep breath and try to have a level headed discussion about this rather than shouting "SKYNET! SKYNET! SKYNET!"
