Has anyone here ever seen the "Angry Black Woman" trope in action? I'm not sure if this is what I'm seeing.

Context: I've been dealing with a man in my life, who I thought was my friend. Turns out he was talking shit about me behind my back, has been lying about me, and asked my roommate if he could hit me. He's also been gaslighting me. He came to me yesterday with tears in his eyes to apologize for all of it, and asked for my forgiveness. Today, he's out for blood again, and has me blocked everywhere. I think he was trying to throw me off his scent, and the apology was fake. This is a short summary, it's a lot more complicated than this, and I'm still trying to figure out what happened. <br><br>I've been doing some research about narcissistic personality disorder, and I'm going to talk to my therapist about it. But I'm also wondering if he's trying to manipulate me with the "Angry Black Woman" trope because of my race as well as my gender. I haven't seen this happen to me before, but I'm wondering if any black women here have had something like this happen to them.
