So you know about the Japanese Horse Girl known as Uma Musume (I'm sure you've seen the ads on r/anime) but I'm here to tell you what they call the community of fans *brony*.

You see, one evening an early fan of the series, known as a Brony, her name known only as *Kobayashi*, noticed a post about the Mascot of the Japan Racing Association (JRA) fb page, triggering a system to prevent further posts. The next morning the JRA woke up to find their whole page was down, and frantic.

While killing time on a blog called 2channel, Kobayashi noticed the post and well she did what anyone with a shred of common decency would do. Made the same post, but changed the name of the character, thus allowing the JRA to make further posts. She then deleted her post so the JRA could continue their campaign.

In a show of their great gratitude, they named a horse who had the name *Free Pass* was then changed to *Free Pass:In Memory of A Brony*, and on another horse, they added a heart (Brony), the first time they ever allowed a space in a name or allowed a heart to be attached.
