Patrick Bateman in American Psycho was right. This isn't a world. Those are not people. Something somewhere is wrong.

I have always been fascinated by the 'glitch in the matrix' concept. When I was a kid, I watched a lot of horror movies and loved the idea of the supernatural and how the world could be very different from what we see.

This concept of the world not being what it is supposed to be and the supernatural have fascinated me for years. I have seen several movies in the past two years about simulated worlds, like Matrix, Free Guy, Spiderman Into the Spider Verse and Ready Player One.

But something has made me realize in the last 72 hours that the world isn't what it seems. These have been thoughts I have had for years, but I wanted to run them past people and get thoughts back.

Firstly, it has hit me that everything is made of plastic these days. Mostirket food, pills, medical apparatus, clothing and even money is not made of real materials anymore.

I know people have various beliefs about why the world is like it is. Traditional religious beliefs, the Matrix Hypothesis, Simulation etc.

I remember in the movie American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, where Patrick Bateman sees something in the book which leads him to believe that this is not a real world and that people are androids etc.

Over the past 72 hours, I have had a feeling similar to how Patrick Bateman felt in American Psycho. Somewhere along the line, we have lost our connection to the natural world where everything in our lives was made out of animal, plant and other natural materials.

I know a lot of you have been trying to wake the world up to whatever is going on. I agree this world is not real.
